This Friday match, South Florida boxing contender Joey Hernandez will face one of the his toughest test in his young career when he faces hard-hitting Ed Paredes in a 12-round match. The show will be the first from Ciclon Promotions which is run by Junior Lightweight Yuriorkis Gamboa and Henry Rivalta. The fight card is full of local talent with Stalin Lopez, Richard Abril and Yoelvis Gamboa that makes it more exciting match.
Ed Paredes, 22-3, 13 KO’s, is a tall and powerful Welterweight that moves toward and unleash is big straight right-hand. He has some nice offensive techniques but he has been easy to tag in late bouts and suffer from cuts. Paredes also is somewhat focus in one area, and also has a good footwork for making the punch landed to enemies.
Joey Hernandez, 15-0, 8 KO’s, is a young, fast southpaw that had an established amateur career going 40-9 before turning pro in December of 2006. This Miami-born Cuban boxer is a well-built Welterweight with fast hands, agile and sound boxing technique.
